using print to explore the hidden histories of Bristol’s conscientious objectors in World War One.
The academic festival ‘Commemoration, Conflict and Commemoration’ in Bristol 2019 awarded funding for me to work with Cato Press to deliver a series of community workshops. The history of local conscientious objectors from World War One was shared and celebrated. A series of large scale images and smaller motifs were cut and printed together at Mivart Studios and MShed and finally exhibited in the city’s Cathedral.
